Hypothesis Three:
Changes in tidal circulation between 1956 and 1995 are significant,
and can be directly related to changes in bathymetry, in particular,
to changes in channel location and geometry.
Evidence in support of this hypothesis has been presented in previous
documents (examinations of cirulation dynamics at
the entrance channel,
the interior channels, and
the intertidal zones). In addition, the following
detailed analysis of circulation patterns at a tidal flats/channel interface
is presented.
