Fecal Coliform Data - Spatial Trends
One implicit assumption in the current Tillamook Bay water quality management strategy
is that fecal coliform concentrations are, on average, higher in the south end of the
bay near the Wilson, Tillamook, and Trask river deltas. This assumption can, to some
degree be assessed by computing time averages at several selected stations chosen along
specific transects. Shown here are two such transects: on longitudinal and one
transverse. It's critical to note that, while the results
of this analysis do suggest specific spatial trends, that data is very sparse and may
not yield statistically significant results.
