Let me say right up front, I am not a scientist. I am a health and science communicator. My current job is to enhance the awareness and understanding of CMOP. How do I do that? By writing science stories, people profiles, press releases, general web content, and blogs; photographing and filming scientific processes, events, and interviews; designing marketing material, and managing the day-to-day activities of the website.
I also am the web manager for the following two websites at the Oregon Health & Science University:
Prior to joining CMOP, I worked seven years for OHSU's Educational Communications department as a multimedia producer. I won several prestigious Telly Awards during this time. I was also the co-leader of the OGI School's Web Project. Working with ISITE Design and the OGI web team, we restructured the information architecture, built a database driven web component, and redesigned the entire school and departmental sites. I was responsible for budgeting, branding, coordination, development, and design of the schools multi-page website.
