The final report will include the following deliverables based on the scope of work defined above:
6.1.Contaminant Sorption Parameter Database. A compendium of experimentally verified equilibrium sorption parameters for Pb, Ni, PCB, and PAH that are not only specific to the Columbia Slough, but that are specific to targeted regions within the slough. This and all other deliverable information will be presented in a form useful for incorporation into water and sediment transport models and risk assessment methodologies.
6.2.Assessment of Role of Colloids in Water/Sediment Quality. A quantitative assessment of the importance of non-settleable colloids in the effective partitioning of contaminants between the slough and the overlying waters.
6.3.Contaminant Uptake/Release Rate Database. A compendium of experimentally verified kinetic rate parameters for the uptake and release of Pb, Ni, PCB, and PAH on sediments from targeted regions within the slough.
6.4.Fugacity Model of Contaminant Distribution. A fugacity-based model of the distribution of hydrophobic organic contaminants among air, water, sediments, and aquatic organisms. This will be designed to support and complement existing and on-going risk assessment methodologies.
