Knowledge Transfer

CMOP has a robust and evolving set of knowledge transfer activities with the scientific community and regional interests.
Scientific Community
We are an intellectual magnet and resource for the ocean-sciences community, and for communities, such as information sciences and molecular biology, that help shape next-generation oceanography.
The center is offering scientific outreach activities both internal and external to the ocean science community in order to ensure that the broader scientific community is aware of and benefits our resources and capabilities.
Industry
Providing a structure in which industries work with researchers and educators, as opposed to just serving as vendors and contractors.
We are developing mutually beneficial joint ventures with a broad spectrum of industries with interests in various aspects of the technological and/or commercial opportunities that CMOP enables.
Regional Interests
Lending expertise and scientific information to the efforts of federal, Tribal, state, and local agencies towards sustainable management of Pacific Northwest coastal margin resources.
We are addressing federal, Tribal, state, and local agencies' needs in scientific understanding and products in order to accomplish their individual and collective management mandates in critical Pacific Northwest river-to-ocean environments.
CMOP knowledge transfer is an exchange of information across a diverse spectrum of people and organizations, including:
» Scientific and Technical Communities
» Ocean, Science, and Technology Educational Communities
» Industry
» Federal, Tribal, State, and Local Agencies
