CORIE is integral to a wide range of R&D projects, crossing many disciplines and involving multiple investigators across multiple institutions. The role of CORIE in these projects ranges from simply making observational data available, to providing a comprehensive view of some aspect of the dynamics of the Columbia River, and to being the pilot system for development of scientific concepts, methods or technologies.
